This is BonBonSew, My Style…

As part of our sustainable philosophy, BonBonSew does not participate in the commercial fashion cycle.  Rather than pursing trends, we focus on developing high-quality, classic pieces that sustain the test of time, seasons, and fads.  In addition, we advocate that feminine, classy, and sophisticated clothing can also be comfortable.  We claim that stylish and practical are not mutually exclusive.  And we value versatility of pieces that can be dressed up or down, and be paired well together.  New designs, color additions, and style evolutions develop organically, and incorporate feedback, suggestions, and requests from you, our valued patrons.  We love sharing ideas and appreciate your thoughts.

Edgy Flair Cruisin' in Style

The Aqua colored Robin Dress was the perfect choice to help me stand out for a New Years Eve house party. I paired it with maroon tights to add a little festive attitude. The dress is so form-fitting and comfortable you feel like you forgot to get dressed.  1 went on a Mexico cruise for my birthday. For the semi-formal night, I knew just what to wear. I paired the Aqua Robin Dress with white leggings, bright blue wedges, and a chunky blue necklace. It was a hit!

Edgy Comfort Polka Dot Outing Casual Flare

I decided to pair the Victoria Blazer with a flowy feminine top since the tail on this jacket is so whimsical. I wanted to contrast the edginess of my studded loafers. I would wear this outfit just to run errands or just to have lunch with friends!  I love that the Victoria Blazer can be easily dressed up or down. In this outfit I paired my polka dot top with a pair of my riding pants. I added my black pumps to dress up the look. This would be a great outfit to wear to a cocktail lounge or just to a nice restaurant on a Saturday night with a loved one!  This is an outfit I’d wear to go have a casual business meeting. The pop of color is bold. However, I feel like the Victoria Blazer along with the cream blouse balances the outfit :)

Party Wear Office Wear Mountain Look

I wore the Victoria Blazer over a party dress with a sequined tube top and a lace skirt. I paired the Victoria Blazer with bright orange pants for a chic office wear look. The Victoria Blazer can also be worn for a very casual holiday look, paired with some muk-luks fur shoes and got this simple mountain look.

Shopping in Style Shopping in Style Snow Bunny Time

When I go shopping, I love to feel cute and comfortable. The Robin Dress in aqua is easy to layer with leggings and provides a bright base of color that I can easily accessorize with other fun pieces. The Robin Dress in aqua matches well with the Victoria Blazer in pewter, which has a fun, unique, ruffled tail. Baby it’s cold outside. On days I want to stay in the lodge and skip out on the ski slopes, I sip on hot cocoa (with marshmallows, of course) in the Robin Dress paired with extra fuzzy layers.

Hobo Style Classic Style Casual Style

I am a hobo FANATIC and the great thing about the Josephine Gown is that it can be dressed up for special occasions and dressed down for a casual hobo look when paired with casual ankle boots and a jean jacket.  This outfit is perfect for spring music festivals or a Sunday morning brunch. The most classic way to wear the Josephine Gown is paired with classic black silhouettes and bold silver or gold accessories.  This is the perfect date night dress for when you need something a little classier than a little black dress but also want to avoid being overdressed.     I live in large oversized sweaters and ballerina flats.  The Josephine Gown is a great jeans substitute when dressed down with flats and a casual cardigan when chilly out.  I love this look for school or everyday errands!

3 Ways to Wear the Taylor Dress

Professional Chic Casual

The Taylor Dress in black is an absolutle classic.  Throw this on with the pewter Victoria Blazer and a pair of heels and I’m off to work.  Remove the blazer, and I’m ready for a little Happy Hour treat!  Here I pair the frost Taylor Dress with the black Elizabeth Jacket and black pleather leggings for a more edgy, evening look.  And now I’m set for dinner and some dancing...      Coral is such a sweet summer hue, but who’s to stop me from rocking this Taylor Dress with my wintery whites?  With a little help from my Coco Hobo, white boots, slouchy beanie, and colorful scarf, I’m dreaming of a White Christmas :)
